June At A Glance

June At A Glance

Summary Of Events:
If you missed it, RAACA's intern Sherry organized a fundraiser at the Boba Cafe in Riverside on June 7th, where 10% of the proceeds went into supporting future RAACA Events! A meeting was also held at the Boba Cafe to share ideas about the planning of other upcoming fundraisers, as well as ways to let more people know about RAACA and what we do! Lastly, topics were also discussed about possible RAACA services for small businesses and families. Are you interested in volunteering, or have any further questions? If so, please contact Mariam Lam at MariamLam@Raaca.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

I called Yogurtland back twice this week and I got no replies back about the fundraiser. I am not really sure what else to do besides book another fundraiser elsewhere and look for more fundraisers to book during the summer. I was thinking about a fundraiser at Boba CafĂ©. So I will be looking into that this week. Sorry for the lack of updates! I am excited to meet this week because I want everyone’s input on activities. I feel like it is really hard to book fundraisers without everyone’s contribution in opinions. So I am excited to be reunited with everyone!

Publicity and recognition is very important in establishing the organization. Branding RAACA at tabling events will be a fantastic opportunity to promote the awareness of our resources. The next couple of weeks will be my final project. I plan on creating a banner for our organization. Instead of buying new materials such as fabrics, I want to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. Though the banner will be composed of recycled materials, I plan on constructing it to be aesthetically pleasing. I am very excited to do this because I have a background in sewing and crafting recycled materials! This banner will definitely ease recognition at events with RAACA’s presence.
